Description
The Forte Icon I3 1000 triple-layer pressure mattress provides static pressure care in a preventative setting. The mattress features 3 layers of various foam for optimum pressure management.
The top layer provides maximum contact with the patient for the distribution of interface pressure. This alleviates localised pressure points. The visco-elastic cell structure provides a low-shear surface.
The mid-layer is a high-quality open-cell foam to postural support for repositioning and patient care.
The base layer protects against “bottoming-out” whilst in the inclined/fowler position. It will provide protection also during transfer as well as repositioning.
On either side of the mattress are profiling stabilisers. This encourages central patient positioning and facilitates patient transfers. Hinging in 2 places allows for the mattress to conform to various bed positions.
